Austin Shaf (born October 26, 1991) is an American-born scientist, philanthropist, explorer, and indie game developer. Despite spending his toddler through early adolescent years without any human interaction (see Early life), Austin quickly adapted into society and excelled in many areas. When he was only 14, Austin had contributed so much to society that Time named him 2006's Person of the Year[1]. In the following years, he founded a conservation shelter to bread near-extinct animals, including the White-tailed eagle, and save them from extinction. He also used this shelter to rescue millions of stray puppies that may have otherwise died [2]. At 16, Austin was admitted into the engineering program at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign but he dropped out after the first semester to explore the world. His discovery of over 20 new species in the first 3 months alone got him a government grant to continue his explorations for the next 4 years [1]. He is said to have found Atlantis during this time, but refuses to share its location since the world is not ready for the groundbreaking technology Atlantis possesses. After Austin's exploration, he departed on a hot-air balloon race around the world. He completed the journey in 11 days (4 days faster than Steve Fossett) which set the world record time. During this journey, Austin's high-resolution camera captured an unusual compound over Abbottabad, Pakistan that appeared to be hiding someone of significance. The photos were sent over to the United States Central Intelligence Agency which they used to find and kill Osama bin Laden [4].

Early life[edit]

Austin was born October 26, 1991, in Park Ridge, Illinois, United States.[5] About a year later while vacationing in Mogadishu, Somalia, a raid led by militias trying to overthrow Mohamed Siad Barre left Austin separated from his parents. It is unclear what happened to Austin in the following years, but 9 years later Austin was found by a tour group while trekking through the Congolian forests [6]. When first found, he exhibited many behaviors resembling the African leopard, such as a shared diet. A few locals also reported have seen a young boy surrounded by African Leopards in the past 5 years. After being found, Austin was re-united with his family back in the United States.

Career[edit]

Ever since 2005 Austin wanted to develop mobile games on a touch screen device, but the technology wasn't there yet. In 2006, Austin approached Steve Jobs with the idea of the iPhone so Austin could create mobile touch games. However, after the release of the iPhone, Austin was too occupied in his exploration so he had to postpone his mobile game development pursuits. It wasn't until 2015 when Austin founded his own mobile game studio, Gnarcade LLC. The studio's first release was an arcade game for iOS called Bumper Jump. The game was so addicting that students around the world were ditching school to sit at home and play the game.

Austin says the next step in his career is to become President of the United States. The minimum age to run for president in the United States is 35 so Austin would have to wait until October 26, 2026 in order to run. To get around having to wait that long, Austin is working on a rocket that will travel at near-relativistic speeds. This will allow him to experience a time dilation which will in theory allow him to return years later, having merely felt like days to him.
